Early researchSmall early studies have explored red (~630nm) and near-infrared (~830nm) light on psoriasis plaques. In one pilot, treated plaques improved over about 4 to 5 weeks, and a small double-blind study found measurable reductions in scaling and plaque thickness.

PreliminaryResearch has explored red and near-infrared light for atopic dermatitis. The main human data is one older uncontrolled series where itching and skin eruption improved in most patients. Stronger, more controlled evidence so far is in animal models.

Early researchEarly research has explored light over the thyroid in people with Hashimoto's. A small placebo-controlled trial reported a lower levothyroxine dose needed and lower thyroid antibodies short-term, with a 6-year follow-up finding it safe. Larger studies were not sham-controlled.

I usually like to give myself some time before leaving a review so I can properly test the product. So far, I’ve been using it for about two weeks, almost every day, for around 10 minutes at a time.
At this point, I wouldn’t say I see a dramatic difference yet, but it feels good to use and it hasn’t caused me any negative effects. For now, my experience has been neutral to positive.
I’d like to continue using it for a longer period of time before giving a more complete and final review.

Definitely exceeds expectations! It has a sturdy aluminum enclosure, robust cooling fan, and the controls (including the remote) are fairly intuitive. I’m still not sure how they are able to get this level of quality and wide spectrum of red light into this price point, but I’m here for it. I set up some brackets so I can hang it on the outside of my dry sauna window to maximize my time while I’m sitting in there. I get 15 minutes of light therapy while I’m getting an amazing sauna sweat. The light shuts off automatically, so I can get my remaining 5-15 minutes of sauna time without lifting a finger. I lose between 10-15% of the light having it installed on the outside of the glass, but set at level 3, I’m still getting a lot more therapeutic power than anything remotely in this price range. I like this one so much, I just ordered the portable version, too.

Using the pro model on my knee and it’s helped reduce inflammation. I’ve been having some knee trouble and do a lot of different things to try and help it but this has been one of the most unexpected healing methods that I have found, when I originally did not think it would do much.
