TUNDRA HUT™ Sauna
1. With steam, the way steam rooms / steam saunas work is actually that steam feels approx 20-30°F hotter than "dry-heat" so even though if you stand in a steam room at 100°F you're getting near 120°F+ benefits of heat level, this is the "feel temp" sort of like when you open your weather app and it will tell you what it "feels like" outside.
2. Are you using the thermometer that was provided with it (if so, the thermometer does not really exceed 110°F which we have noticed and are working on—it's not that great, sort of a freebie, but we want to improve upon it still in future models).
3) The water level won't affect it, but if you do get a liquid/line type thermometer (or non-electronic) you probably can get the higher reading, I've had many issues with this thermometer not properly working above 100°F due to humidity not being read. If yours is over 100°F, the felt temperature is probably above that quite a bit.
Last thing also — how do you feel when inside? If you're an expert at this or you're stronger / more resilient than most — then you probably can stay in like 20-30 minutes...at full blast.
On average most people can't be in steam rooms over 100°F for more than about 15 minutes without feeling "winded, and tired". Only asking this because it's all based on feel.
Extra Troubleshooting:
Sometimes the white venting/dispenser piece (that goes inside the HUT) can get clogged with water and this can block the steam coming out at full blast if the steam does not come out a lot.
Reach out to us. We will replace it for you at no additional cost! Sorry about that happening, we got you covered.
If your Steam Generator fails either due to circuit or due to water leakage, please reach out to us, we will start a replacement order for you at no cost.
Steam feels about 20-30°F hotter due to near 100% humidity. This is natural and you may not get a full reading on your thermometer.
Although it can go beyond 60min, you can only fill water up to 3-Quarts (3L) and at high heat (7+) this amount will only last a MAX of 60min. If you are using low-heat, it can last longer.
We recommend staying in for up to 20-30minutes max and taking a break.
In hotter regions, at full blast, you should not stay in for over 15 minutes.
We recommend purchasing a bamboo flooring or something anti bacterial to place inside if you do not like the wet-floor. The floor will get wet due to the steam drying up and turning into water, which forms a puddle. We do not sell any product to soak this up, but recommend wiping it down when done and airing out your Tundra Hut after each use.
Yes you can put whatever seat you want inside. Stools, wood seats, or something more comfortable.
Absolutely! Many Tribe members do air-squats, and bring in rubber free weights to do their daily exercises in high heat. Please be cautious of the diffuser when doing so.
The white diffuser box inside your Hut is meant to disperse air so that not one hot-blast is coming from the hole at the bottom. This helps to spread steam in a more efficient way.
Make sure it does not get clogged, and after use you may have to shake this to empty it out.
Use Caution — this part gets very hot and you should not touch it while in use.
MEGATUB™ XXL PLUNGE
We're thrilled to announce that we will be releasing our top-of-the-line chiller the HYDROVAULT™ 1HP.
This chiller boasts a powerful One Horsepower motor, app compatibility, and both super-chilling and heating functions.
The price is on the product page, and this chiller offers excellent performance in comparison to similar models out there. We worked over 6 months making sure we got it right, but if you experience any issues please reach out to us.
The HYDROVAULT™ Chiller is made to be compatible with the Tundra MEGATUB and similar types of large cold plunge tubs with 1/2" male I/O ports.
To learn more about this product and place your pre-order, please visit this page: HYDROVAULT
For the bulge in the center of your tub, this is natural and will occur the more you fill it due to the extremely heavy amount of water inside. This tub holds nearly 1500lbs+ of water weight if filled, and it is almost impossible to build a tub this size that won't shift ever so slightly.
The Megatub is designed to accommodate this bulge with super strong dropstitching material, so you don't have to worry about it breaking from this ever. If it does, we will replace it.
The blue cover is meant to provide a protective layer to prevent kids and animals from entering, as well as provide some insulation. If any air is escaping through small gaps of air between the cover and the tub area, you can also get a bug-proof soft cover which is form-fitting for your tub and sits nicely around the edge right under the blue cover.
We make the longest cold plunge on the market, rated for up to 7' tall and up individuals for full submersion, and this leads to some small things like this that could happen. There is no real workaround besides making a hard-shell model, which would end up costing exorbitantly more money for a similar size.
We want to keep prices as low as possible so more and more people can experience the awesome feeling of getting their freeze on!
You should pump the cover to 7+ PSI and the main tub to a 9-10 PSI. Please do not go over 10PSI for either part.
Over a few weeks, you may need to slightly blow up your Megatub another 1-2 PSI if it drops. This usually will occur if it is sitting in unregulated outdoor temps that fluctuate a lot.
If for some reason your PSI drops dramatically, for example, from a 10 to a 5 or less in under a month, please reach out to us and we can help troubleshoot. It's best to avoid direct sunlight for extended periods of time. The color may fade if this is left in direct sunlight for a long time.
The Soft Cover has some flexibility and will fit your tub as it expands. It is built to go under the blue layer for extra protection against leaves/debris.
TUNDRA TUB XL Pod
Diameter: A whopping 34 inches (86 cm)
Height: Standing tall at 30.5 inches (81 cm)
Weight: Feather-light 8.0 pounds (3.6 Kg)
Capacity: Can gulp 115 Gal. (435 L) of icy goodness
Fit: Perfect for tall drinks up to 6'6" (200cm) + supports lads & ladies up to 300lbs (135kg)
*Not for those under 16
We recommend grabbing & adding 15-40lbs (7-18kg) of ice to the Tub per chill sesh depending on the initial water temperature.
The amount of ice needed highly depends on your tap water temperature, the climate you live in, and how cold you desire it to be. If you live in colder climates, adding ice may not even be needed! 🥶
Since the tub is insulated and has a cover, so it will keep the water cold for longer. You may not even need to add as much ice after the first time!
The Tundra Tub comes with a tap at the bottom for draining. To drain it, connect a standard garden hose with a 1/2 inch male thread-to-hose adapter (from your local home supply store). You can also simply open the tap without a hose attached depending on where the Tub is set up outside.
Absolutely, as you should.
Your TUNDRA TUB includes a water-resistant cover, plus it comes with an insulator lid to keep the water regulated, clean & especially—bug free!
To keep the water clean for long periods of time, we recommend adding salt to the water or any organic/natural solution that will not corrode the material.
Simply buy raw cheap salt and add around 1lb (0.4kg) to a full Tub. You can keep the water in the Tub for 2-4 weeks when using salt.
With no use of salt to disinfect we recommend changing the water every 3-4 sessions or to your liking!
Yes! We designed the Tundra Tub to be weather & UV-resistant, so you can set it up inside, outside, as well as even in temperatures below freezing.
If you leave it outside in below-freezing conditions, please make sure you do not let it become over-frozen, only if there is a top-layer less than 1/2-inch in thickness, and then you can break it up and hop on in!
The insulation layer makes the water turn to ice slowly, so make sure to stir it up!
HYDROVAULT™ CHILLER
If you've ever done research on cold plunge chillers, you'll quickly see how expensive they can become, because of the extreme power and functionality required to maintain crystal clear ice water in your tub.
Our model is built on the same principles that much pricier models were built with:
• 1 Horsepower
• Chilling & Heating Function
• Filtration / Filters
• App Connectivity
• Metal Clasps & Connectors
• Wheels & Handles for movement
• Touch Screen Control
Other comparable models are $3,000+ for even close to similar features and strength that this chiller has.
If you have a large tub, this chiller is for you. If you have a Megatub™ this is the #1 selection of chiller as it was custom made for compatibility and power-settings for the XXL size of the Megatub.
The Hydrovault™ 1HP Chiller can get your Megatub down to 40°F or less. Though, we recommend NOT turning it below 37°F min temp (about 3°C)
We are working on future models to include a heating function up to over 100°F+ but this feature is currently not included.
At the moment, we only have compatibility for Celsius because we sell through the US, Canada and Mexico. We are looking into having the option to switch between the two in future models though!
There may be condensation or small cosmetic scratches/wear because we do test every unit before packaging at our testing facility before they get delivered.
Minor damage like a bent handle can occur during shipping. Please contact us and send photos of the damage. If the functionality of the unit isn't affected, we can provide spare parts such as a new handle or top panel for you to replace. We aim to ensure your Hydrovault is in working condition.
The HYDROVAULT™ can take up about 1 week to deliver because we have to book special carrier pickups.
Most deliveries are shipped within 3-4 business days and deliver in just a few days after that.
If the carrier damages the product, please let us know, everything is shipped in new condition and inspected before transit.
There may be condensation or very small cosmetic scratches/wear because we do test every unit before packaging at our testing facility before they get delivered.
The Hydrovault™ 1HP Chiller weighs around 75lbs, which means you should lift with two people or with extreme caution if solo.
We ship the HYDROVAULT in a large wooden crate. Make sure to watch a youtube video on how to open such a package if you've never done it before (it is simple, requires a screwdriver and sometimes a crowbar if something get stuck).
We pack your item this way because it is a very heavy item. This helps us make sure there will be as little dings/scratches and issues as possible when it arrives.
The HYDROVAULT™ can sometimes have small scratches from our manufacturing and the process we use to put the metal walls together.
Please reach out if there is irreparable damage to the item, send a message to help@tundratribe.com
If you experience a major leak, discontinue use immediately and contact our support team. Provide photos of the leak and any visible damage to the unit or packaging. We will assess the issue and may send a replacement unit if necessary, as some internal damages require specialized tools to repair.
Use the blue and white filter included with your Hydrovault; the second filter is provided as a spare. The blue and white filter is recommended for its effectiveness, and we will have additional filters available on our website for future replacements.
The Hydrovault has a flow rate of 550 gallons per hour (GPH). It can cool water by approximately 4 °C (7 °F) per hour in our Megatub XXL 2.0. For instance, if you fill the Megatub to 70% capacity, it takes about 3 hours to lower the water temperature from 70 °F (21 °C) to 49 °F (9.5 °C).
We typically do not have additional discounts as we strive to offer the best prices upfront. Keep an eye out for special promotions during events like Black Friday.
Only on bulk orders, or when a coupon promotion is live there are discounted rates.

Remember that time when ice baths and cold plunges were never talked about—yes only like 5 years ago... Or those time you heard Huberman ice bath talks or the Joe Rogan Cold Plunge theory—and they continue on about the numerous health benefits associated? Well, the hype is real. And now, it's your turn to plunge into the myriad of benefits awaiting beneath the icy surface. Dive in!
We recommend starting out with your ice bath tub temperature at around 59° Fahrenheit (15°C) if it's your first time, and then slowly lowering the temperature and duration for each session. That way your body will get acclimated to the cold.
For those who are regular plungers, the best temps are from 40-50°F (4-10°C). You really don't need to force it down below 40°F because the benefits do not increase and the time spent inside may be more difficult.
For mental fortitude training & trying out the hardest levels of plunging, you can definitely keep it lower than 40°F and plunge, but only do this with supervision as it can be more dangerous.
To get the health benefits, you'll need to stay in cold water below 59° fahrenheit (15°C) for three to eight minutes.
Cold water therapy works best with the right combination of time, temperature & perseverance!
Each Tribe member is different and some can tolerate lower temperatures down to the high 30's even! (Please proceed with caution and have a friend or family member help you out as necessary!)
*studies suggest cold therapy can help reduce inflammation, muscle soreness, stress and anxiety. Please use at your own risk.
Sauna Info & Advice
Extreme heat and steam, as provided by the Tundra Hut™ offer a multitude of wellness benefits.
The steam helps open up your pores, facilitating the natural detoxification process by releasing toxins through sweat. This can lead to clearer and more elastic skin.
The heat also deeply relaxes the muscles, reducing tension and soreness, which is particularly beneficial after physical activity.
Overall, the combination of heat and steam can improve cardiovascular health by expanding blood vessels, which improves circulation and lowers blood pressure. This mimicked cardiovascular strain also helps strengthen the heart. Regular sessions can enhance respiratory function as warm, moist air works to clear the lungs and sinuses.
Using the Tundra Hut’s steam and heat therapy promotes mental relaxation and stress reduction, providing a tranquil retreat from the stresses of daily life. This holistic approach to wellness makes extreme heat and steam therapy a valuable addition to any health regimen.
